It was a quiet day on the hill, with a very modest turnout for the opening bell. Snow was falling, which added a nice addition to the pack, making a much softer feel. Visibility was very marginal, with little to no contrast up high on the open slopes. With such light traffic, the pace was much more relaxed, letting you stretch out the line a bit and dial in a bit more arc to smooth out the ride.
Tomorrow, look for more snow in the forecast, variable visibility, moderate traffic, and storm conditions. The coverage remains good on the prepared lines, and is holding up to the traffic. Keep your head on a swivel and maintain situational awareness at all times. I’ll be taking the day off tomorrow, so make some turns for me. See you Sunday. Remain Standing!!
