The light was flat for the first hour and a half this morning, but the Groomers were ultra buffed with the high density snow the Grooming Crew had to work with. White Diamonds was like the living room shag, with quality that smoked as the line wrapped around to the North Fork section completing the big Down Hill line. Nice touch!!! The front side of the hill was as buffed, but the off trail has set up a bit with the overnight drop in temps. The Sun came out after breakfast, offering great visibility and wide open options to rip. The interference patterns are beginning to develop some high amplitude in the highly traveled section of the hill, but the soft feel is still holding up. Further afield is still holding the smooth, but the harbor chop is still making the ride a bit variable. I am sticking with the ultra buff until the wind begins to work the hill. Tomorrow, look for another great morning, with much lighter traffic, wide open rippers, and smooth runways to fly on. The coverage is good and you can trust the edge set as the old crusty layer is only appearing in spare sections. Here is a shot of the cornice out in Mineral looking full on after all the new snow. See you for the first Boat. Peace Out!
