The sky was clear and the air was cold this morning, making for some clear visibility with all the details in high relief. Nicely prepared lines had been worked on the hill, which were smooth, consistent and silky, with some of that firmness still in play. More grooming areas had been expanded that offered a lot more variety of line choice. Baldy area opened for the first time of the season, which offered smooth lines that pulled a lot of interest.
The cold clear air kept the pack soft and loose all day long, which is a key point at this time of the year, where the daily effects of the Sun and temps don’t morph the pack. Tomorrow, look for more clear air and refreshed machine worked lines on all sides of the hill. Keep your eyes open for signs of some openings that are in the offing. Listen for those Tram announcements for Tram by Tram changes. I’ll be looking for those smooth carpets of AHHHHH to keep those training laps building tension. It is almost ready for prime time, and patience will be a virtue. Remain Standing!!!
