Unusual rainbow colors refracting through the high clouds. There was a big ring around the Sun, but this was not associated with that.
These cirro-stratus clouds worked magically for us fortunate few today. It was worth coming up and sliding around just to see the prolonged full halo rainbow. Not to mention 3+ hours of corn as perfect as I’ve seen in a Hell of a long time, smoother than corduroy, reminiscent of the denser snowpack in the Sierras and B.C.
