DIFFICULT VISIBILITY

The Faithful were in full attendance early this morning and were ready to get after it as the hill had 5 or 6″ of fresh light density Essence on top of the higher density product from previous days. With the difficult visibility I was staying close to the trees to keep the references going and finding the deep pockets.

GOLD Wing “FLASH” hitting V1 and pulling back on the stick out on Baldy when it opened.

New sections of the hill opened as mitigation efforts progressed, which offered deep sections of smooth, with the explosive layer of light density that gave things that blower feel. There was a very crusty stubstrate that the new accumulation did little to dampen, so finding the more untracked lines paid dividends. Traffic was brisk, but the chairs made short work of the pressure and got folks up the hill quickly. Tomorrow, look for a little bit of residual accumulation with the last flurries dropping that ultra light dust. There is more waiting in the wings but the visibility will still be variable. The prepared lines will be offering the best consistency in the variable vis. Keep it tight!!
