The beginning of this stream of weather moved in with wind and snow in the higher elevations. The wind has been working the pack the past few days and has smoothed the surfaces. Knowing the aspects that held the wind buffed was key today in the very difficult visibility. The high moisture content of the last installment left a very consistent supportable velvet feel that was really a treat. Staying close to the trees aided in the reference department, but trusting the billiard table smooth surface was a real plus.
The Tram was placed on a wind hold as the winds really kicked in later in the morning. The snow began to really fill in and it has begun and will continue through the night. I expect it to back off for the morning, so there might be a brief window before the next impulse moves in. Remember the smooth lines as they will still have held up with the lighter traffic. Dress for continued storm riding and keep the trees in sight. Remain Standing!!!
