LIGHT TRAFFIC

1-19-23 by dave

There was quite light traffic today, with fast turnarounds on the chairs and short waits on the Tram. The visibility was marginal with very flat light that made going for the smooth prepared lines a treat as they had been worked on both sides of the hill. The off trail was a tad lumpy bumpy and required a more deliberate approach. The Exotic Trees opened today, which has been closed for quite some time. Uber deep conditions were found out there and staying in the standing mode was a must.

The Jazz Man finding the deep pockets that were all over with just a bit of looking.

Today, I was going for the full platform engagement feel, which was easy to do with the dry buffed lines that had been worked over by The Cat Crew. I had to do fast laps on those smooth carpets to take advantage of the silky perfection.

The Chairman of The Board joined us for the breakfast stop this morning. Great having him with us!!!

Tomorrow, look for more great conditions, with freshly prepared Groomers, which will let you dial in some smooth arcing turns. There are still some soft pockets and lines to be found around the edges of things. Continued cold temps will be on tap as very cold air moves in. I will be using some nose covering as I got a touch frost bit this morning. IBBY!!!
