There was a much more mellow feel to today, with no serious push for the Tram, freshly tilled lines to find, and some fresh Essence still falling intermittently. The early runs were smooth with a silky feel on top of the corduroy that had been worked into the mat. The high density of the recent accumulation had set up and became firmer than I had expected, but it did add a much more solid cover on the hill. The Cirque Traverse has been open, however, with the wind and traffic pattern, it requires a careful and precise approach working the variations. Keep that in mind as you head out that way.
Tomorrow, look for more great prepared lines to start out the day. The visibility should be a bit better as the snow lightens up. I will be going out looking at the edges and entrances to see how they are filling with the new accumulation. I think the traffic should be light once again. I’ll be taking these days to dial in the game plan for the next round. Head on a swivel!!!
