The Sun bright, the air was cold this morning, and there was a lot to choose from. Traffic was light as expected and back to back Trams was a nice feature. Snow making efforts were continued on the Peruvian side of the hill, which offered those sweet lines of Gun Powder while the crowd worked the Mineral Basin aspects. The Road to Provo opened, with very variable pack which took a sharp eye and an inner feel to get a line on. Even then, the variability factor was large and in charge.
Kevin sent this shot of his line out under Hoopie’s where he found fair consistency, but still variable layers. Tomorrow, look for a storm day as there is a large front on the door step, which will kick in during the wee hours of the morning and extend throughout the day. It will be nice to have the added accumulation, but expect the old layer to be fully in play and some of those slick spots still in the mix. I expect continued snow making efforts, so be aware of the variability underneath the guns mixing with the new accumulation. Have a great day and watch the board for openings and closures as they may happen. Remain Standing
