STRANGE GLAZE

12-24-24 by dave

The precipitation that fell yesterday added a strange glaze layer to the dance floor going into today’s offerings. The run prep was smooth, but the glaze on top made for some very challenging moments on the steep sections and kept me guessing going over some of the flats where I needed some speed modulation. Visibility was good, with some clearing from the earlier weather, so I stayed with the tried and true to keep things moving forward.

Lower down on the hill, I took advantage of the bypass offered to avoid the steep glassy sections.

Traffic was light, which helped keep good spacing on the hill, but I bailed after two runs to start the holiday festivities a bit early. Tomorrow, look for more weather to be dialing up as the flow continues with impulse after impulse. I expect fairly light traffic again, and look for the prepared lines to offer the best traction. We’ll have to see what falls from the sky, while we keep the deep visualizations going. Deep, deeper, deepest!!!
