WIND WORK

1-08-23 by dave

The Faithful made a strong and early push for the goods this morning, as the wind worked the pack ahead of the next atmospheric river that has taken aim on The Front. There was a high cloud deck with some very interesting formations in the flow as the Sun back lit the wind effects. Mineral Basin opened with lots of lines to find all around the bowls.

Kyle sent this great shot of a Lenticular formation out in Mineral Basin before the lights went out.

As the day wore on, the clouds thickened up and the visibility went flat for the duration. The wind kept the pitches smoothing, keeping the feel fresh.

Pierr Fallone up close and personal under Hanging Bowl yesterday and finding it fresh and fun.

Tomorrow, look for continued wind as the impulses begin coming in for the next few days. It will be a good day to get a look at the hill for consistent lines and smoothed out possibilities. The push for the goods will be a bit lighter, but I will be getting there early to insure a parking spot. This will be another very interesting cycle. Get ready for a deep dive into the season’s offerings.

Tram Rat sent this amazing Sunset shot from his Winter getaway spot in Tuscon AZ. We all miss him at the Breakfast Table.

See you tomorrow for the wind buffed lines and velvet feel. IBBY!!!
