The temps dropped overnight as a low moved over The Front, signaling a freshening of the pack for the next couple of days. The pack was frozen and the prepared lines were holding the best consistency, however, the visibility was variable, so sussing out the details was problematic in the flat light. There would be no break in the pack making the changes in the consistency unpredictable. But, that’s Spring skiing in the Wasatch.

Tomorrow, look for some overnight accumulation as there is still impulse energy associated with this low pressure. How much? Only time will tell, but it will add a bit of traction and cushion to the pack. Visibility will be variable and the next impulse is on the door step for the day, so expect continued precipitation and some more accumulation on the hill. As always, the prepared lines will offer the best consistency, with the off trail still quite spicy and super firm. Tread lightly. More stromage in the line up for the weekend. Remain Standing!!!
